What the Scriptures Say About The Supernatural

 The spiritual realm is real. The Bible clearly teaches this truth and expounds upon it in detail. The Apostle Paul writes that our struggle is not against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces (Ephesians 6:12), and that all things, visible and invisible, were created through Christ (Colossians1:16). 

 Secondly, the Bible teaches us to test everything. We are never to take any spirit or entity at its word regarding who and what they are. The Apostle John instructs believers to test the spirits, because not every voice is from God (1 John 4:1). Paul also says that we ought to test everything and to hold onto what is good (1 Thessolonians 5:21). Going back to the Old Testament, we are warned that the simple believe anything while the prudent think before they act (Proverbs 14:15). Not everything is as what it seems. The Bible warns that even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light (2 Corinthians 11:14). 

  Some experiences have natural explanations, while others may derive from a medical or psychological cause. If you are struggling with anxiety, depression, fear, sleeplessness, or distress, we strongly encourage you to seek medical attention/ counseling first and foremost along side of seeking spiritual help. Ruling out any medical reasonings first is key to resolving many issues.

 God's People are told not to practice divination, sorcery, consult mediums, or the dead for that matter (Deuteronomy 18:10-12). This is why we ask about any occult involvement in our reports. In the Bible, Saul had banned mediums in Isreal, then consulted one when God stopped answering him. The text ties his death to this act, it states he dies for his unfaithfulness, which included seeking a medium rather than God (1 Samuel 28; 1 Chronicles 10:13-14). Manasseh practiced sourcery, divination, consulting mediums, and even sacrificed his own son. The text says he led Judah to do more evil than the nations God had driven out (2 Kings 21; 2 Chronicles 33). These two examples out of a great many are listed to depict where the occult will lead anyone who follows suit in such a practice. Yet Christ is gracious and merciful. Confess your sins, repent of these ways. Christ calls upon your heart to turn away from it all and freely persue him, all by what he has done on the cross. 

 Christ has authority, and there is peace within him. Christ completely disarmed all rulers and authorities. He has triumphed over them ( Colossians 2:15). We are commanded to submit to God, Resist the devil, and then he will flee (James 4:7). God has not given us a spririt of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7).
